Giving with us

Engage in enlightened philanthropy

The Jewish community is diverse—and its philanthropists are similarly diverse in their approaches to giving and grantmaking. Many provide support to the established institutions in our community, while others fund new, innovative programs. As part of their quest for tikkun olam, many give to causes in the community at large as well as within the Jewish community. Some focus their giving on the concerns of today, while others create endowments to provide for future needs.

Jewish philanthropists' range of interests is broad as well—ranging from local education and social services to the arts to international development. These interests are based on unique histories and experiences. But as a group we share the values that made us philanthropists in the first place: the values of tzedakah, ensuring a better future for our communities, and giving for giving's sake.

Philanthropy—and your passions

There is no shortage of places—and ways—to give. Between estate planning, complex charitable planned giving vehicles and fund choices, there are many options for people seeking to increase their impact.

At The Jewish Community Foundation, we are experienced in matching Jewish philanthropists with the right mix of charitable vehicles and fund options to suit their goals. But we also understand that all of this must start with questions, such as: What are you truly concerned about? What makes you a philanthropist? What would you like to see happen as a result of your giving? It is the exploration that comes out of these questions that makes philanthropic planning, giving and grantmaking through The Jewish Community Foundation truly meaningful.
