Organizations eligible to apply include: Jewish agencies,
synagogues, and other non-profit organizations with an explicit
focus on serving the Jewish community in the greater East
Bay area or specific programs directed to that purpose.
Also required: 501(c)(3) or other acceptable not-for-profit
corporate status. The committee will not consider grant proposals
from individuals or ad hoc groups that are not under the auspices
of an eligible fiscal agent.
Generally not funded are programs that duplicate existing
community services, or capital construction, expansion or
renovation of facilities.
Grant funds may not be used for the benefit of any
individual or for any proprietary or commercial use. Grantees
must agree to make available to the grantor any program materials
developed with grant funds to allow for replication of programs
where appropriate.
